Ramon Cansanay
Pastor Ramon Cansanay (Interim Pastor of Missions–Philippines)
Pastor Ramon completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Philippines. He is also a registered nurse in Canada working in the Emergency Department.
He’s been a Christian since 2003 and started serving the Lord in the Philippines as a Worship director in 2004, youth ministry leader in 2005, and as youth pastor in 2008. When his family migrated to Nova Scotia, Canada, he was a Home Group Bible study leader at Word International Ministries (Halifax) from 2012 to 2014 and as senior pastor from 2016 to 2022.
He successfully passed the Certified Minister’s (2016) and Licensed exhorter Examination (2021) given by Word International Canada. He has attended in-house Theology courses offered by WISL such as Church History, and is currently pursuing his Master Of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies at Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries in the Philippines.
He is happily married to Sis. Jonalyn Cansanay who is actively involved in the Children's Ministry. They have three amazing children, Ramon Emmanuel, Samuelle Ramona and Miguel Ramon. Pastor Ramon loves to play chess online, ride on his motorbike, and go on fishing with his brethren.
He responded to the LORD’s calling and went back to the Philippines 2022 with his whole family for a mission “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. (Acts 20:24).
